Visual Arts Curatorial Research Work Study

The successful applicant will initially be offered a 6-month term, but this may be extended with the approval of the participant and The Banff Centre.
Program Fee: $199 per week (covered by financial assistance)
Stipend: $425 per week
This stipend is not specifically linked to work performed but is intended to enable participants to pursue the overall learning objectives.
Work studies are responsible for their own room and board costs, however, they are eligible for housing (based on availability). Current rates for this accommodation are $7.90 / day (shared) or $15.80 / day (single) and will be deducted from the participant’s stipend payment.
No deductions for income tax, CPP, or EI are made from stipend payments. Financial assistance and stipend awards are considered taxable income for Revenue Canada.
Applicants are also encouraged to approach their local arts councils and agencies for additional financial assistance to offset costs.
