Evolution of the Quartet Faculty Concert

Featuring the Eybler Quartet, JACK Quartet, and Parker Quartet.

The string quartet, as a genre, is simultaneously one of the most established musical forms and one of the most rapidly evolving. This conversation between legacy and experimentation will be played out every day in our new course, EQ (Evolution of the String Quartet). Who better to kick off this extraordinary new adventure than our faculty quartets guided in conversation by an internationally-profiled thinker and chair of the Music Department at Harvard University, the Canadian-British theorist Suzannah Clark.
