Join Lori Blondeau, celebrated Cree/Saulteaux/Métis artist, and faculty for the Visual Arts: Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) – Summer 2024 program for an afternoon talk.
For more than three decades, Blondeau’s artistic practice in the fields of performance, photography and installation, along with her curatorial work and activities as co-founder and Executive Director of the Indigenous art collective TRIBE, has proved decisive to the ever-increasing centrality of Indigenous art and knowledge production in Canada.
A highly respected artist, Blondeau is also a beloved educator and mentor in her role as
Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba School of Art. In 2021, Blondeau was a recipient of the Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts.
