Summer Writers Residency - 2024

Sina Queyras (they/them) is the author, most recently of Rooms: Women, Writing, Woolf, and of the poetry collections, My Ariel, MxT, Expressway and Lemon Hound all from Coach House. Their work has been nominated for a Governor General’s Award, and won The Friends of Poetry Award from Poetry Magazine, a Lambda Award, the ReLit, a Pushcart Prize and Gold in the National Magazine Award; they have twice won the Pat Lowther and the AM Klein Award for Poetry. Autobiography of Childhood was nominated for the Amazon.ca First Novel Award. In 2005 they edited Open Field: 30 Contemporary Canadian Poets for Persea Books, and with Erin Wunker and Geneviève Robichaud they edited Nicole Brossard: A Reader. Queyras is founding editor of Lemon Hound. They have taught creative writing at Rutgers, Haverford, and Concordia University. 

Alicia (A.E.) Stallings is a US-born poet, critic, and translator who resides in Greece. She has published five volumes of poetry, most recently This Afterlife, Selected Poems, with publisher, FSG. Her most recent book of verse translation is the (illustrated) Battle Between the Frogs and the Mice, out with Paul Dry Books. Her poems and essays appear widely. She has received many awards, including fellowships from the Guggenheim and MacArthur foundations. She was recently elected the Oxford Professor of Poetry, the first North American to hold the post.

Danielle Dutton is the author of Margaret the First, SPRAWL, and Attempts at a Life. Her work has appeared widely, in magazines and journals including The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Harper’s and BOMB. Her next book, Prairie, Dresses, Art, Other, is forthcoming from Coffee House Press in 2024. In 2009 Dutton co-founded (with Martin Riker) the award-winning feminist press Dorothy, a publishing project. The press was named for Dutton’s great aunt, a librarian who drove a bookmobile through the backroads of Southern California. Over the years, Dorothy has published an eclectic array of titles that have gone on to receive international attention, from The Complete Stories of Leonora Carrington to Renee Gladman's Ravickian novels. Before joining the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis in 2011, Dutton was the book designer at Dalkey Archive Press and an instructor in the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa.
