The Banff Centre confirms KPMB | Stantec Associated Architects for Campus Master Plan development
Banff, Alberta, July 24, 2014 -- The Banff Centre is proud to announce KPMB | Stantec Associated Architects has been selected to support the creation of The Banff Centre’s Campus Master Plan as part of its campus renewal priority. The Campus Master Plan will address the institution’s existing needs and ageing infrastructure as well as propose solutions that will take The Banff Centre into the future
In the coming months The Banff Centre will work with KPMB|Stantec to develop an engagement strategy for a diverse group of stakeholders that includes staff and external stakeholders. Research will also be conducted that will help inform The Banff Centre’s decisions about campus renewal.

The planning process will begin immediately, and will take approximately 18 months.

The Banff Centre’s institutional priorities

- Arts Funding: securing funding to enable tuition-free access for participants of arts residencies and programs;
- Leadership Development: re-imagining leadership development offerings as The Peter Lougheed Leadership Institute;
- Content Dissemination: increasing general access to the art and ideas created in Banff through a digital and events-based content dissemination strategy;
- Campus Renewal: renewing the campus, including working with our partners to create public presentation and education facilities in Banff; and,
- Applied Research: advancing our contribution to applied research with our Campus Alberta partners and additional partners including BIRS, CIFAR, and others.
About KPMB | Stantec Associated Architects: The association of KPMB Architects with Stantec Architecture Ltd continues a history of collaboration spanning many years and resulting in successfully completed projects for George Brown College and Bridgepoint Active Healthcare in Toronto. The association is also currently working on the Destination Project for Lethbridge University in Alberta, located on the campus with Arthur Erickson’s iconic University Hall.
