The 48th annual Festival featured a stellar lineup of over 80 live events in Banff including adventurers, authors, and filmmakers sharing their stories; 84 epic films on the big screen from around the world; an expanded Festival Marketplace with more brands and the NEW Rab Stage with free presentations; happy hours with music; campfire conversations with special guests; downtown events and exhibitions; and much more!

Guest Speakers on stage in Banff included: Two of the world’s most prolific climbers, Sonnie Trotter (CAN) and Ashima Shiraishi (USA) kicked off the Festival on opening night!; Alpinist Leo Houlding (UK) shared stories from his latest book Closer to the Edge, which takes us on a whirlwind journey to Venezuela, Antarctica, Baffin Island and his home in the Lake District; Legendary snowboarder and founder of Protect our Winters Jeremy Jones (USA) joined us for an on stage interview to talk about his new book The Art of Shralpinism: Lessons from the Mountain; Snowboard renegade Jess Kimura (CAN) who has changed the game for women and whose legacy extends far beyond her accomplishments on snow; High altitude veteran climber Mingma G Sherpa (Nepal) joined for a moving on stage conversation with local climber and author Geoff Powter in the annual Voices of Adventure interview, and so many more!

Festival venues included: Jenny Belzberg Theatre, Margaret Greenham Theatre, and Max Bell Auditorium at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Lux Cinema Banff, artsPlace in Canmore, the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, and more.
