On the morning of December 30th, 2000, Josep Maria Vilà, a 27-year-old biochemist, ski toured to the top of Balandrau in the Pyrenees with his girlfriend and three friends hoping to enjoy one more beautiful snow day before the end of the season. At midday a sudden 100km gust of wind blasted the group and they became part of a tragedy that would change their lives forever. Rather than just survive, they were reborn that day.
