Q: How do you define being successful?
A: I define being successful as continuously striving to improve myself. Success is when our clients are pleased and our team achieves the client's vision for their conference.
Q: What quote is your go-to motivator?
A: Be optimistic, it feels better.
Q: Fill in the blanks:
Always, always, always... Look at the micro- and the macro-view of any large undertaking.
Never, never, never... Assume.
Q: How did you get into this business?
I was lucky enough to come to The Banff Centre in my youth for music programs, and learned to love this place as an artist/musician. My summer work during university brought me back to Banff and I learned to love this town and being out in nature. When I saw an opportunity to work at The Banff Centre and contribute to giving other people the same great experiences I had, I couldn't resist applying.
Q: Rule of thumb for:
Meetings: Always look at both the big picture and the fine details.
Travel: Never assume.
Q: What is your number one suggestion to do, eat or see while at The Banff Centre?
A: Spend some of your time outdoors to enjoy nature and the surrounding scenery. And you should definitely try Three Ravens Restaurant at least once.
