Using an image projector to control how much light is cast on a grass-seeded canvas, artists Heather Ackroyd and Dan Harvey have developed a process that allows them to grow massive, and breathtaking, photographs out of living grass.
Ackroyd & Harvey joined us as guest faculty and supported our participants in the Visual Arts residency, Banff Research in Culture: On Energy (May 30 - June 24, 2016). During the residency, they found time and space at Banff Centre to experiment with new ways of producing their work, and explore how digital technology could impact how they create.
